Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will also have Air Source Heat Pump qualification or skills to learn such. It is important they possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in working with gas systems. This role involves ensuring the safe installation, maintenance, and repair of gas appliances and systems in both residential and commercial settings. The Gas Engineer will play a crucial role in upholding safety standards and delivering high-quality service to our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances and heating systems.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of gas installations to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Diagnose faults in gas systems and implement effective solutions.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and electricians, to complete projects efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, including service reports and compliance documentation.
  • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines while on-site.

Skills

  • Proficient in the use of power tools and hand tools relevant to gas engineering tasks.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems.
  • Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
  • Experience in plumbing is advantageous.
  • Capability to perform heavy lifting as required during installations or repairs.
  • Familiarity with welding techniques for specific applications may be beneficial.
  • Ability to assemble components effectively as part of the installation process.
  • A valid commercial driving licence is preferred for transportation between job sites.
