Job description Quality Engineer

Due to continued and stable growth, we at Swift Precision Ltd are looking for a Head of Quality and EH&S to join our team.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Liaising with the senior management of the company to establish quality to meet customer and company requirements.

  • Delegated authority to act as the Quality Management Systems manager to AS9100 requirement.

  • Report to the Management the performance of the Quality Management System and the details of need for improvement.

  • Conducting and/or overseeing audits of all departments at planned intervals, to ascertain compliance with the requirements of the relevant international & customer standards and identify potential areas of improvement within the business.

  • Being in receipt of all formal customer complaints, ensuring their timely and effective solution and the customer is advised of the actions taken.

  • Ensuring timely correction and corrective actions are implemented to remedy any deficiencies in the business that affect quality.

  • Ensuring that periodic checks/calibrations are carried out on identified tooling, to ensure accuracy and proper functioning as required.

  • Embracing all aspects of assigned staff management, identifying competency requirements, training and development of the team.

  • Report to the Management/directors the performance of the business metric Management System and the need for improvement.

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate would have experience in a quality engineering role working within manufacturing industry and be full transversed on quality requirements needed of AS9100. They would be competent in precision inspection and.

The candidate would be an effective communicator both as the leader of a team and to the senior management/directors, to establish appropriate company protocol.

Skills and Qualifications:

A desirable skill set would include, but not be limited to:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proven leadership qualities.

Have a hands-on and pro-active approach

Good IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Software with the ability to write in-depth reports and perform statistical analyses.
