Peterborough City Council is seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable
Public Health Improvement Officer
to join our Public Health Directorate. This role focuses on developing, commissioning, and evaluating evidence-based health improvement programmes for children, young people, and public mental health.

Key responsibilities within the role include;

  • Support the commissioning cycle within our Children and Young Peoples team.
  • Analyse public health data to inform service planning and delivery.
  • Lead collaborative projects with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure services deliver value for money and improved health outcomes.

We are looking for professionals with the following knowledge, skills, and attributes;

  • Degree-level qualification in health or a related field (Master's desirable).
  • Strong knowledge of public health policy, commissioning, and evaluation.
  • Proven experience in project management, partnership working, and contract monitoring.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
