Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) Manager located in Gloucester. The QHSE Manager will be responsible for overseeing the company's health and safety practices, implementing EHS (Environment Health and Safety) programs, managing occupational health, conducting accident investigations, and providing necessary training to staff. The role requires ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, promoting a safe working environment, and continuously improving the company's QHSE standards.

Your Objectives

Assume functional control of the Corplex UK Integrated Management System (IMS) to ensure all procedures and processes are maintained to the expected standards and assume direct responsibility for compliance audits conducted by external bodies.

Coordinate area and task-specific risk assessments in cooperation with area supervisors, team leaders and operators to identify hazards that present a risk to our employees' health and safety. Define, lead and manage the implementation of resulting corrective actions or control measures to eliminate these risks.

Conduct regular and detailed internal audits of the company's processes and procedures to identify good practice, opportunities for improvement and non-conformance. Create structured reports containing your findings and, where required, agree action plans with the process owner.

Communicate effectively both visually and verbally to increase engagement to further develop our established QHSE culture.

Lead investigation and resolution of hazard observations, near misses and accidents to understand, identify and correct the root cause of incidents.

Provide advice and guidance to Corplex team on issues relating to H&S, quality and environment.

Qualifications

  • Health & Safety, and Environment Health and Safety (EHS) skills
  • Occupational Health management skills
  • Experience in conducting Accident Investigation
  • Ability to provide Training to staff on QHSE matters
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Relevant QHSE certifications and qualifications
  • Experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector is a plus
