Are you a talented professional makeup artist with a passion for 'less is more' natural beauty? Are you looking for a permanent position in a unique luxury retail environment?

The Job

A permanent Makeup Artist position of 4 days per week combining artistry, sales and teaching. Working in high-end retail at our central London boutique and at pop-up locations, with a generous performance-based commission incentive.

The Team

You'll join a small, friendly artist team at our independent family-run British brand, working with premium products that are made in England and cruelty-free, and reporting directly to the Managing Director and Founder.

For over 50 years, Cosmetics à la Carte has crafted award-winning skincare and make-up that celebrates natural, individual beauty. Formulated by Founder Lynne Sanders, we are dedicated to enhancing customers' unique features and supporting healthy skin with 'the beauty that works for you.'

Main Duties

  • Use your expertise to sell makeup and skincare, while delivering an excellent standard of customer service
  • Create beautiful professional makeup looks and teach expert bespoke makeup lessons
  • Analyse skin tone accurately to match foundation and create bespoke blended products
  • Take responsibility for operational tasks including cleanliness and hygiene, stock levels and display
  • Process enquiries and orders on the telephone and via email

Qualifications and Skills

  • You have a professional makeup artist qualification (degree, diploma, certificate)
  • You have worked as a makeup artist for at least a couple of years (freelance, in-store, TV & Film)
  • You have customer-facing experience in retail sales, hospitality or customer service
  • You are friendly, well-presented, and self-motivated, with an enthusiastic, can-do attitude
  • You are fluent in written and spoken English with a good telephone manner
  • You have solid Computer & Microsoft Office skills
  • You are available to work a regular weekly 4 day rota in person which will include Saturdays
