Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The role involves providing high-quality care and assistance to individuals in care homes or home care settings. The successful candidate will play a vital part in supporting clients to live independently and comfortably, ensuring their wellbeing and safety are prioritised at all times. Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
  • Support clients in developing and following personalised care plans
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance clients' wellbeing
  • Facilitate social activities and encourage participation to promote mental health
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided, adhering to organisational policies
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure cohesive support
  • Drive clients safely to appointments or outings when required
  • Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe environment for all

Requirements

  • Previous experience working within a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
  • Valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients or running errands
  • Good understanding of care plans and ability to implement them effectively
  • Proficiency in English, with excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
  • Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation
  • Compassionate attitude with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Flexibility to adapt to different shifts as required
