Monday - Thursday 7.30am - 5pm
Friday - 7.30am - 4pm
41.5 hours per week + 1 hour break per day
Do you have experience in production assembly work? We have recently expanded our growing business as we have doubled our production capabilities; with further growth in the future, we are looking to recruit an experienced assembler to join our growing team.
Job Summary :
A Production Assembly Operative at SIL is responsible for working as part of a small team in the sector of production. In this hands-on role, you will be assembling a range of plastic furniture components, from small parts to full office chairs. The position requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and a good work ethic. Full training will be provided.
The Job:
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble plastic office furniture components and full chair units
- Use hand tools where needed safely and correctly
- Follow work instructions, diagrams, or verbal directions
- Inspect parts and finished assemblies for quality
- Package and label finished goods
- Maintain a clean and safe working area
- Report any issues to supervisors
- Respecting company policy and behaviour in work areas.
- Ensuring PPE provided is utilised correctly and not mis-used.
- Work individually being responsible for assembly, but as part as an overall team
- Providing support to other areas of the company if required.
Requirements & Desired Characteristics:
- Experience gained within a production/assembly background is beneficial
- Computer literate
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of basic assembly & even injection moulding is beneficial but not required
- Comfortable with physical work and manual handling
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and meet production targets
- A team player with a positive attitude and reliable attendance
Essential Skills
- Basic understanding of English & Maths
- Computer literate
- Physically Fit for the job
- Good Communication Skills
- Ability to complete work correctly and on time in an acceptable format and have attention to detail
- Hardworking and trustworthy
- Basic understand of injection moulding techniques and quality of goods and materials is preferred but not essential

Salary: Total TBC dependent on experience

Job requirements
- Ability to communicate via English language.
- Ability to work individually and within a team.
- Ability to pass in-house training methods to gain the skills needed to complete the job thoroughly with knowledge of the job they are doing.
Experience
- 1-2 years experience within a production environment is ideal
- Experience in assembly is preferred but full training given
- Ideally have experience within an Injection Moulding environment
- Full fork-lift licence is desirable but not necessary
SHIFTS - as above - there is opportunity for overtime.

Pay: £25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
