Role Description

This is an on-site face-to-face Interpreter role located in Greater London with flexible working hours. Interpreters will facilitate communication between individuals who speak different languages, ensuring accurate and confidential interpretation. Responsibilities include attending scheduled appointments in various settings such as healthcare facilities, legal proceedings, social services, and business meetings to provide professional and impartial interpreting services. Punctuality, professionalism, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of interpretation are essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in at least two languages, including English and another language
  • Strong verbal communication and active listening skills
  • Prior experience or certification in professional interpreting is highly desirable
  • An understanding of cultural sensitivity and confidentiality protocols
  • Flexibility to travel within Greater London
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in diverse and high-pressure environments
  • Possessing a valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or willingness to obtain one
  • Familiarity with sectors such as healthcare, legal, or public services is an advantage
