Old Thorns Hotel & Resort are seeking a Maintenance Assistant / Engineer to join our enthusiastic Maintenance Team

Salary advertised is the lowest offered amount for this position and will be evaluated against each candidates skills and experience.
Our main tasks include:
- Assisting with preventative maintenance tasks
- Assisting with scheduled maintenance inspections and repairs
- Carrying out short-term maintenance work and emergency repairs promptly, especially those affecting guest bedrooms and services.
- Ensuring all Health & Safety regulations are following and implemented in every task.
- Dealing with emergency and breakdown radio calls
- Carrying out refurbishment, painting and decorating tasks
- Maintaining and storing machinery and equipment
- Completing all work to a high standard
- Assisting the Maintenance Manager

Other Information
Skills & Knowledge:
- 1-2 years in general maintenance role
- Skill of Painting & decorating would be an advantage
- Skill of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, would be an advantage
- Ability to prioritise, organise and manage a varied and changing workload.
- Knowledge of H&S regulations.
