We are seeking an experienced Nightshift Prep/Paint Technician to join our site in Witham, Essex. Working in a state of the art environment with the latest technology, you will work as part of a team to repair our customers vehicles

Key responsibilities include:

  • Repairing vehicles to the highest of standards in line with manufacturer guidelines
  • Working collectively as part of a team to ensure each stage of the repair journey is seamless
  • Ensuring repair methodology is in line with manufacturer specifications, utilising Thatcham Escribe
  • Managing cost of repairs in your respective department to minimise cost of materials and consumables where possible
  • Supporting the businesses efforts around recycling parts and materials wherever possible
  • Requesting supplementary parts during the repair process and working with the Estimating teams to ensure the repair process requirements are covered throughout the process
  • Evidencing the repair process via photos at all stages.

Previous experience & skills:

  • Previous repair experience in your specific department is essential
  • ATA or L3 NVQ would be advantageous, however further training will be available
  • Experience using tablets for job cards and adherence to BSI quality control processes is expected
  • Proactive mindset, identifying and remedying issues before they arise, particularly around supply chain and repair processes
  • Empathetic towards differing customers needs
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay: From £50,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Witham CM8 3YQ: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Education:

  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

  • Bodyshop: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • ATA or NVQ L3 certification (preferred)
