Guesthouse Manager – Bourton-on-the-Water

We are seeking two experienced Guesthouse Managers to join our team at a charming 13-bedroom guesthouse in the heart of Bourton-on-the-Water. This is a live-out position, offering a fantastic opportunity to oversee daily operations in a beautiful Cotswolds setting. It would suit someone living locally or within a 40 min commute time.

Positions Available:

  • 4 days per week
  • 3 days per week

Hours: 8:00am – 6:00pm, with a 1-hour lunch break

Salary:

  • £23,600 per year (4 days/week)
  • £17,800 per year (3 days/week)

Start Date: End of January 2026

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day guesthouse operations
  • Oversee housekeeping team and ensure high standards of cleanliness
  • Assist with housekeeping tasks when needed
  • Prepare and cook breakfast for guests
  • Ensure a welcoming, friendly, and efficient environment
  • Troubleshoot and address small maintenance issues as they arise

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in guesthouse management
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to cook breakfast to a high standard
  • Flexible, hands-on approach
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

Advantageous Skills:

  • Understanding of older properties and their unique maintenance needs
  • Practical troubleshooting and problem-solving ability for small repairs or unexpected issues
