As a Network Delivery Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work at one of Europe's busiest airports. You will work alongside a team of Network Delivery Managers, Project Managers, Solution Designers, Incident Managers, and Project Support Engineers to capture customer requirements and to deliver minor works projects to meet business requirements. You will have the opportunity to learn about networking technologies relating to LAN, WLAN, IP Telephony and network security. 

You will be responsible for supporting and contributing to all aspects of the project's life cycle: initiation, planning, execution, and closure - this means you will be working on real world challenges.

Please note:
The work location for this position is at Heathrow Airport. The successful candidate will be required to commute to the office three times per week.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Managing Network Projects

  • Handle projects of varying scope within a portfolio.
  • Proactively forecast resource needs based on current and upcoming workloads.
  • Make informed resource decisions to support project delivery.
  • Manage change and mitigate risks to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Deliver consistent results to both stakeholders and customers.
  • Apply strong attention to detail, time management, and influencing skills.
  • Step in to manage individual projects when needed to ensure success.

Delivery and Execution

  • Ensure delivery of the agreed Statement of Work (SOW) for customer sites.
  • Monitor and coordinate all required actions to deliver services effectively.
  • Support global project rollouts or fulfill individual customer growth orders.

Project Management Administration

  • Advocate for and follow defined company project standards and practices.
  • Promote consistent practice standards across the organization.
  • Generate and maintain reporting to ensure visibility into all project activities.

ABOUT YOUR SKILLS:

  • 3-5 years of experience as an IT Project Lead or Associate Project Manager, specifically in the IT industry leading network-related projects
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies
  • Basic knowledge of networking components such as routers, switches, firewalls, and physical infrastructure (e.g., Cat6, fibre optics)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in IT project management for long-term professional growth
  • Collaborative team player with a willingness to ask questions and support colleagues

Nice to have

  • Previous experience in the airline industry
  • Experience managing one or more projects from initiation through closure in a commercial environment
  • Background in IT solutions or experience with airline industry solution providers (preferred)
