The Operations and Project Delivery Lead will support the Operations Director in delivering both day-to-day operational excellence, service delivery and project execution within the product development function. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, process-driven and can manage the prioritisation of requests into the team alongside supporting the delivery of projects.
Working within our product development team and collaborating with other teams across the business, you'll be the go-to person for turning plans into action and ensuring things get done.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support project delivery from early stage of initiation to final implementation
- Develop and maintain project plans and timelines by breaking projects into do-able actions
- Organise project meetings, contribute and communicate effectively to drive actions forward to timely completion
- Work closely with the technical team to provide regular status updates to key stakeholders
- Collaborate between product development and other business teams to understand and manage priorities and align resources to ensure client and stakeholder needs are met
- Support customer insight initiatives for new products, manage and triage product feedback
- Triage and prioritise requests into the team, ensuring timely and efficient resolution with clear communication
- Manage critical and escalated issues by supporting the technical team and communicating updates effectively to stakeholders
- Monitor and improve processes within the team
- Identify efficiencies and support initiatives to streamline workflows within systems
- Assist the Operations Director in managing product development resources, including cost management
Requirements
Essential
- Demonstrable knowledge in project management techniques
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to listen, collaborate and influence others across teams
- Ability to adapt quickly and learn new things, such as JIRA software
- Ability to identify and evaluate issues to support problem solving
- Ability to drive actions to timely completion
- Ability to manage priorities, work well under pressure and work to deadlines
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
- Positive, proactive 'can-do' attitude and desire for success
- Strong IT skills (e.g. Microsoft: Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, use of GenAI) and interest in technology concepts
- Strong commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth
Desirable
- Knowledge of collaboration and project management software tools such as Slack, Trello, JIRA
- Experience collaborating with people within an agile software or business environment
- Experience of managing relationships with suppliers
- Project management qualification
