Role Overview

The Private Credit Investment Associate will play a key role across the full investment lifecycle — from origination support, underwriting and structuring, to execution and ongoing portfolio management. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, gain exposure to complex deal structures, and contribute meaningfully to investment decisions in a dynamic and growing platform.

Key Responsibilities

Origination & Deal Screening

• Support the sourcing of new lending opportunities through engagement with financial sponsors, advisors, intermediaries, and corporates.
• Conduct initial assessment of opportunities to determine fit with the firm's credit strategy and risk appetite.
• Assist in maintaining the deal pipeline and preparing internal screening materials.

Underwriting & Credit Analysis

• Perform detailed financial analysis, including building and reviewing financial models, cash flow forecasts, leverage/covenant case testing, and downside scenarios.
• Conduct comprehensive due diligence: market/sector research, competitive benchmarking, business model assessment and risk evaluation.
• Prepare investment committee materials articulating the credit thesis, structure, risks and mitigants, and return profile.

Structuring & Execution

• Support structuring of financing solutions across senior secured, unitranche, subordinated, asset-based, and hybrid structures.
• Work alongside legal advisors to negotiate term sheets, credit documentation, covenants, and protections.
• Manage workflows and deliverables throughout the execution process up to closing and funding.

Portfolio Monitoring

• Monitor ongoing company performance, covenant compliance, liquidity, and collateral (where applicable).
• Prepare periodic internal reporting and identify early warning indicators or areas requiring active management.
• Engage with management teams, sponsors, and advisors on operational or financial developments.
• Support amendments, waivers, restructurings, or exit processes as needed.

Internal & Strategic Support

• Help develop market insights and sector themes to support origination strategy.
• Contribute to fundraising, investor reporting, and data management requirements where relevant.
• Collaborate across teams to enhance internal processes, models, and analytical frameworks.

Qualifications & Experience

• 3–5+ years of relevant experience in:
• Private credit / direct lending
• Leveraged finance investment banking
• Private equity
• Restructuring / special situations
• Corporate finance or related credit roles
• Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with excellent understanding of corporate finance and credit fundamentals.
• Experience reviewing financial statements, assessing cash flows, and conducting sensitivity and downside analyses.
• Ability to write high-quality investment papers and clearly present findings to senior stakeholders.
• Comfort working on multiple transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with sponsors, advisors, and management teams.
• High level of attention to detail, commercial judgement, and ownership mindset.
