Winnersh, United Kingdom Montu UK Full time

Onboarding Specialist

At Montu UK, we believe onboarding is more than orientation; it's the beginning of someone's story with us. We're looking for an Onboarding Experience Specialist who's passionate about designing thoughtful, engaging, and memorable new-hire experiences that set people up for success from day one.

If you love writing communications that make people feel seen, crafting journeys that inspire confidence, and creating moments that connect people to a mission, this is the role for you.

What you'll be doing

You'll be the creative engine behind Montu's onboarding experience, ensuring every new joiner feels welcomed, informed, and connected from the moment they sign their offer.

You will:

• Design and write engaging, end-to-end onboarding journeys from offer acceptance through ramp-up and beyond

• Build communication touchpoints such as emails, guides, first-week plans, and welcome packs that make the process feel clear, warm, and personal

• Partner with People, Talent, and Hiring Managers to ensure every onboarding journey reflects Montu's culture and values

• Create consistent messaging and tone across all new-hire content to ensure we sound like
us

• Develop engaging virtual and in-person onboarding sessions that help new hires understand our mission, products, and impact

• Continuously refine the onboarding experience based on feedback, data, and creative insight

• Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, Ops, and L&D to make sure every practical detail is handled while you focus on the human experience

• Champion the voice of the new joiner by advocating for clarity, belonging, and connection at every touchpoint

Who you are

You're someone who brings creativity, empathy, and structure to everything you design. You care deeply about how people feel when they join a new organisation, and you know that every message, schedule, and conversation is a chance to make a great impression.

You'll thrive in this role if you have:

• Experience in onboarding, employee experience, or internal communications roles

• Strong writing and storytelling skills with the ability to make information clear, concise, and inspiring

• A passion for designing people-centric processes and crafting seamless journeys

• The ability to translate complex ideas into simple, friendly communication

• Great collaboration skills and enjoy partnering with hiring managers, People teams, and leadership to make things happen

• A growth mindset, experimenting, measuring, and iterating to keep improving the experience

• Strong organisation and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple onboarding cycles without losing the personal touch

Bonus, not required: Experience designing onboarding or engagement programs in high-growth or mission-driven organisations

What You'll Get:

  • Generous Leave: 25 days holiday (rising to 27 after year one and 30 after year two) + 8 bank holidays
  • Pension Matching: Up to 5% employer matching contributions.
  • Flexibility and Wellness: Work-from-home options, cycle-to-work scheme, and more.
  • Growth Opportunities: Collaborate across teams and represent Montu at events, with support to grow your skills and impact.

Ready to Help Shape the Future? At Montu, every role is key to our mission, and as an Onboarding Specialist, you'll create experiences that inspire and set the foundation for our success. Join us on this journey to make a meaningful impact. If you're excited by the opportunity to shape a supportive, growth-oriented culture, we'd love to hear from you.
