These roles involve driving a refrigerated van to collect samples from customer sites, following a predetermined route and timescale, and delivering the samples to an Intertek Lab or other designated location as required.

ABOUT YOU

We are actively seeking drivers with a valid UK driving license that has no more than six penalty points. You should have the necessary knowledge and experience in driving a refrigerated van, making collections of samples from our customer sites as per a predetermined route and schedule, and delivering the samples to an Intertek Lab or other specified locations as needed.

Required skills and experience:

  • Valid UK driving license (max 6 points)
  • Strong UK geography knowledge
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Interpersonal effectiveness
  • Attention to detail
  • Flexible and adaptable working style
  • Problem-solving capability
  • Occasional heavy lifting ability
  • Minimum 2 years in van driving/customer-facing roles

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

You will be required to drive one of our refrigerated vans, collecting samples from customer sites according to a pre-determined schedule, and deliver them to an Intertek Lab or other designated location. The role is customer-facing and requires flexibility, self-reliance, and strong interpersonal skills. The driver plays a critical role in upholding Intertek's customer service standards and supporting business growth and cultural values.

Key activities:

  • Ensure that all Company policies and procedures are followed at all times
  • Ensure that all documentation is completed when collecting from customers and when delivering to Labs
  • Ensure that temperature protocols are followed and that any variances are reported immediately by phone
  • Carry out vehicle checks and report all defects immediately
  • Drive company vans in a safe, legal, economic and courteous manner
  • Use in-cab technology as required.
  • Act as the first line of contact at customer sites and build good relationships with our customers.
