Financial Systems Analyst

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join us as a Financial Systems Analyst. The primary role is to be the first point of contact for support issues logged to the Financial Systems Team. To deal with the issue or correctly diagnose the issue and assign to the correct expert in that area within the Financial Systems Team or IT in general.

In London, the team comprises 50 technology staff covering a broad range of technologies and specialisms including business architecture, business solutions, project and programme management, modern infrastructure and they are all primarily focused on international projects working alongside colleagues in our 28 offices. Whether it's analysing new solutions, driving innovation, developing client solutions or providing a first class, high availability infrastructure and support we are a diverse, energised group focused on service and contributing to both the internal and external use of technologies. We work extensively across the network and seek candidates who are keen to engage internationally and make wider contributions both internally and externally than just IT service and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Development of Aderant Expert & ancillary systems to meet the firm's increasing demands as it continues to expand e.g. new offices, mergers and lateral hires.
• Evaluation of new products and solutions as part of a team.
• Application testing re software upgrades & new solutions.
• Projects aligned with the firm's strategic objectives.
• Managing and dealing with the support issues logged for the financial systems team. Second level support to the accounts departments internationally and other Aderant Expert users.
• Technical support of ancilliary systems in the firm's finance systems stack, such as ARCS 3 (collections software), Onventis, the eBilling Hub etc.
• Working as part of a team ensuring support & project workloads are balanced and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Month end procedures and routines - time and billing, general ledger close.

We'd like you to have

• Knowledge/experience of practice management systems such as (but not limited to) Aderant Expert, Thomson Elite etc.
• Good understanding of Aderant Expert table structures.
• A competent working knowledge of SQL queries.
• Good understanding of legal finance processes.
• Experience in delivering end to end financial systems solutions.
• Be a part or qualified accountant.
