About the Role

We are seeking an experienced UAS Pilot with proven internal flying/close-proximity inspection capabilities to support our offshore inspection and survey operations. The ideal candidate will be confident operating in complex, GPS-denied environments and hold all required offshore survival and medical certificates.

You will work as part of a specialist team delivering high-quality data capture for critical infrastructure, supporting clients across the offshore energy, oil & gas, and renewables sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct internal UAS inspections within confined or GPS-denied spaces (e.g., tanks, ballast spaces, processing modules, turbine towers).
  • Perform offshore UAS operations in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Execute planned flight missions safely, accurately, and efficiently.
  • Assist with mission planning, risk assessments, and safety briefings.
  • Manage UAS equipment, batteries, consumables, and flight logs.
  • Ensure compliance with operational authorisations and offshore HSE standards.
  • Liaise with clients, on-site teams, and inspectors to deliver high-quality outputs.
  • Support data management and reporting post-flight as required.

Essential Requirements

  • Demonstrable internal flying experience (confined space, NDT support, structural inspection, or equivalent).
  • Valid offshore certifications, including:

  • BOSIET / FOET (with CA-EBS)

  • OGUK or equivalent offshore medical

  • MIST

  • Recognised UAS pilot qualification (A2CofC, GVC, or equivalent operational authorisation).

  • Strong understanding of aviation safety, risk assessment, and safe systems of work.
  • Experience operating commercial UAV platforms used for internal or offshore inspection ( Elios 2/3, Scout DI 137)
  • Ability to work in challenging environments with a strong safety-first mindset.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and situational awareness.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience supporting offshore integrity, inspection, or survey programmes.
  • Data capture experience (photogrammetry, thermal, lidar, or visual imaging).
  • Mechanical, engineering, or NDT background.
  • Previous work within the offshore energy or utilities sectors.
