Role Overview:

The
Aerospace Technical Documentation Director
is responsible for the end-to-end authorship, design, and publication of high-level aerospace technical documents, including the
TARDIS-Class Passenger Spaceplane Academic Technical Compendium
. This role bridges advanced aerospace engineering, systems design, and scientific communication — transforming complex engineering programs into structured, accessible, and compliant documentation suitable for internal review, government certification, and academic dissemination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the creation, curation, and maintenance of the
    DKS Spaceforce Technical Compendia
    , design briefs, and systems reports (PDF, DOCX, and mobile formats).
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams — propulsion, avionics, structural, and thermal engineers — to document full-lifecycle technical details.
  • Develop
    academic-grade reports
    following NASA, ESA, and DKS Spaceforce documentation standards (A4, dual-column, TRL integration).
  • Integrate
    Cinematic Visualization Appendices
    and program renders into professional technical layouts for stakeholder and investor presentations.
  • Translate simulation data, CAD models, and R&D outcomes into readable content for internal and external review.
  • Manage the
    Document Control System (DCS)
    to ensure traceability, versioning, and regulatory compliance.
  • Support DKS Spaceforce communication with international partners and academic institutions by maintaining document transparency and technical integrity.
  • Supervise technical writers, editors, and graphic visualization specialists in producing large-format academic and cinematic documents.

Required Qualifications:

  • MSc or PhD in
    Aerospace Engineering
    ,
    Systems Engineering

    Scientific Communication

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in technical documentation for aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing.
  • Proven expertise in
    LaTeX
    ,
    ReportLab
    , or equivalent documentation systems.
  • Proficiency with
    CAD-to-visualization
    workflows and simulation data summarization.
  • Strong understanding of propulsion systems, materials engineering, and spacecraft architecture.
  • Ability to manage high-volume document pipelines and ensure cross-functional alignment between design and certification teams.
  • Experience preparing reports to NASA/ESA contractor format or similar government-grade standards.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Annual Salary:
    $350,000–$450,000 USD
    (depending on experience)
