Role Summary

Awakn is offering a 2-month paid Data Analysis Internship for individuals based in Newcastle who are eager to gain practical experience in analytics and AI-powered business solutions. This remote internship is designed for students or recent graduates looking to develop technical skills while contributing to live projects under expert mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in collecting, cleaning, and preparing datasets for analysis.
  • Use Excel, SQL, and Python to explore and analyse data.
  • Support the creation of dashboards and visual reports to communicate insights.
  • Conduct market research and identify data-driven trends.
  • Assist consultants in applying findings to real business challenges.
  • Document analytical processes and maintain clear project records.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently studying or recently graduated in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or Business Analytics.
  • Proficiency with Excel and basic knowledge of SQL or Python.
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively while working remotely.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Previous experience in data analysis, either academically or professionally.
  • Understanding of basic statistics or predictive modelling.
