Role Overview:
We're seeking an experienced Project Planner with a strong background in software or IT projects (non-construction/engineering) and hands-on expertise in
Primavera P6
. You'll provide consultancy support to Project Managers and technical teams, helping to build, monitor, and maintain detailed project plans across complex programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain resourced project plans using Primavera P6
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Resource Managers to ensure accurate scheduling and resource allocation
- Support earned value reporting, critical path analysis, and project costing
- Contribute to bids and proposals, mobilization planning, and engineering development stages
- Ensure plans are aligned with SAP integration and company planning standards
- Provide guidance to junior planners and support PMO reporting
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in a planning role within software or IT development environments
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project
- Solid understanding of project management principles and lifecycle planning
- Experience with earned value management and risk analysis tools (e.g., Monte Carlo)
- Ability to challenge and support project teams on resource and schedule accuracy
Qualifications:
- Degree in Project Management, Business, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Desirable: APM Practitioner, Prince2 certification
Personal Attributes:
- Proactive communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Detail-oriented, resilient, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure
- Comfortable working independently and contributing to team success
