We are committed to developing confident, capable practitioners through accredited training and flexible learning pathways that support both individuals and employers.

We are expanding our delivery team and are looking for experienced freelance tutors and assessors to deliver and assess our NCFE and RSPH qualifications in Early Years and Food Safety.

Qualifications Delivered

You will deliver, assess, and support learners working towards:

  • NCFE Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Health and Social Care and Early Years and Childcare Settings (600/2540/2)
  • RSPH Level 2 Award in Food Safety and Hygiene (603/2395/4)

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching and learning sessions (primarily online, with potential in-person delivery).
  • Support learners through the qualification journey, including induction, formative feedback, assessment, and achievement.
  • Conduct assessments in line with NCFE and RSPH standards and Archon Academy's internal quality assurance procedures.
  • Prepare learners for knowledge assessments, including multiple-choice examinations and internally assessed tasks.
  • Maintain accurate learner records, progress tracking, and evidence documentation.
  • Liaise with the Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) to ensure consistent assessment and verification practices.
  • Promote best practice in food safety, hygiene, and compliance across all learner settings.

Essential Criteria

  • A recognised teaching or training qualification (minimum Level 3 Award in Education and Training or equivalent).
  • A recognised assessor qualification (e.g. CAVA, or A1).
  • Qualified to at least Level 4 in Food Safety (RSPH, CIEH, or equivalent).
  • Demonstrable occupational competence within food safety, catering, or health & social care environments.
  • Up-to-date CPD and knowledge of current food hygiene legislation and best practice.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to deliver engaging, learner-centred training both remotely and in person.

Desirable Criteria

  • Internal Quality Assurance qualification (Level 4 Award in IQA)
  • Experience delivering RSPH or NCFE food safety qualifications
  • Experience with e-portfolio or LMS systems
  • Experience delivering to learners in early years, education, or care settings

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £22.00-£28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week
