Glass Production Operative - Bridgnorth

We are looking for a Factory Cleaning and Glass Depacking Operative to join our team at Swancote Energy. Essential Skills & Qualities:

  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Punctual, hardworking, and keen to develop new skills
  • Ideally lives within 20 miles of site and has access to transport
  • Forklift Truck (FLT) experience preferred, but not essential – full training provided

The Position:

Reporting to the Operations Manager,you will assist with a range of production tasks to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the facility.

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Pressure washing factory and production areas
  • Manual handling and unpacking of glass and food products from packaging efficiently and safely
  • Supporting process operations on the main production line
  • Operating a Forklift Truck (if trained) to move pallets and containers
  • Flexibly assisting different areas of the production team as required
  • Adhering to all site safety and hygiene standards

A typical day in this role would look like

  • 8:00 until 12:00 – Pressure wash production areas as required

  • 12:00 until 12:30 – Lunch break

  • 12:30 until 16:30 – Depack glass packaged products

Swancote Energy operates a state-of-the-art Anaerobic Digestion Plant in the West Midlands, processing 75,000mt of food waste and energy crops annually to produce green electricity. This renewable energy powers a local factory owned by one of the area's largest employers.
