This job offers the opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join a service to support and protect children. The role is based at Ridingleaze House in Lawrence Weston (BS11 0QE).
You will join one of our nine small social work units which comprise a Team Manager, three social workers, a Child in Need Keyworker, Family Support Worker and Children's Services Care Assistant.
Our Children's Social Care Assistants play a central role by supporting unit staff with a wide range of administrative duties to free up frontline workers to spend more time with children and families.
The role involves regular contact with families, taking minutes in meetings and responding by phone to people who may be angry or upset. Children's Social Care Assistants in the service say their role is challenging but rewarding and extremely varied and that the small teams offer a supportive environment.
Please note that this role is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check.
