We are looking for a talented Engine Workshop Foreperson to join our team specialising in day-to-day service supervision for our Service Operations Workshop in Leeds, United Kingdom.
This is a permanent role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Thursday 8.00am – 4.45pm and Friday 8.00am – 12.30pm.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Carry out complex diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, and rebuilds on a range of Cummins engine products.
- Lead daily workshop operations, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity targets are consistently met.
- Coach and mentor technicians and apprentices, sharing your expertise and supporting their development.
- Apply documented procedures and service tools to deliver high-quality repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Review repair plans, parts lists, and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain a clean, organised work area and ensure tools are in proper working order.
- Uphold Health, Safety & Environmental standards and encourage safe working practices across the team.
- Act as a role model for customer service excellence and technical leadership.
- Work with the office team to manage workload, productivity and customer expectations, and complete detailed engine failure reports to support with accurate quoting of repairs.
To be successful in this role, you will need the following:
- Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
- Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
- Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Education/Experience:
- Advanced level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products.
- Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians (preferred).
