Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our dynamic team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail. Previous restaurant experience and a strong understanding of food safety standards are highly desirable. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing attentive service, ensuring timely food delivery, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons.

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
  • Take accurate orders and relay them efficiently to the kitchen staff
  • Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation
  • Check on guests regularly to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
  • Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
  • Handle payments accurately using the point-of-sale system
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service areas, including tables, trays, and workstations
  • Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations diligently
  • Assist with food preparation when necessary, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth service flow

Skills

  • Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred
  • Knowledge of serving techniques and food safety standards
  • Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions accurately
  • Familiarity with food preparation and kitchen operations is advantageous
  • Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy hours
  • Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
  • Ability to upsell menu items tactfully to enhance the guest experience
  • Good organisational skills to manage multiple tables and responsibilities simultaneously
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £10.00-£12.21 per hour
