This is a
hands-on, lab-based
position, ideal for someone who loves practical problem-solving, experimentation, and engineering craftsmanship.

About You

This role suits someone excited about being part of a team driving innovation in smart systems and sustainable tech. You'll enjoy applying your technical expertise across a mix of digital tools and physical build environments.

Your background might include:

  • A degree or equivalent experience in engineering, physics, or another technical field.
  • Experience working in a practical setting – whether academic, commercial, or project-based.
  • Confidence switching between CAD modelling, test design, and hands-on build work like wiring, plumbing, or mechanical assembly.
  • Working knowledge of SolidWorks (other CAD tools also welcome).
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Bonus experience (not essential):

  • Familiarity with 3DExperience or CFD tools like SimScale.
  • Exposure to software for hardware or embedded systems.
  • An understanding of system optimisation or control logic.
