Associate Sales Manager

Job Purpose

- To lead a group of 3 – 4 Sales Associates in their day-to-day sales activity. To drive revenue growth through managing your team with their opportunity portfolio, personal marketing activity & personal development. Your role will be compounded by owning your own opportunity portfolio as well; supporting clients in assessing their Human Capital Management strategy & demonstrating why ADP should be their chosen partner.
Key Objectives
- Responsible for the development & maintenance of a comprehensive plan for team sales activity including pipeline and productivity. Responsible for managing both personal and team quota.
- Responsible for supporting the wider Leadership group of all active sales processes within the team, ensuring co-ordination of company resource in an optimal and effective manner.
- To fulfil the standard accountabilities of a Sales Associate in addition to the above objectives.
Key Duties/tasks
- To monitor the performance of the team daily, co-ordinating resource, monitoring activity, and where necessary initiating corrective action with Regional Sales Manager to ensure sustainable delivery of results.
- To generate new business through inbound leads but also personal marketing efforts.
- To execute on personal quota plus part of team target
- To manage sales opportunities through direct reports
- Weekly team & leadership sales forecasting.
- To work alongside your fellow Leaders in identifying training & development needs across the wider team.
- Delivering training sessions (ad-hoc)
- To submit the relevant management reports in a timely manner including up to date forecasting information.
- Be result driven to ensure a laser focus on overachievement on quota.
- Responsible for the direction of the team with regards to training, engagement & development.
- Member of the sales leadership team.
Skills And Knowledge
- Ability to anticipate, identify and analyse problems and opportunities, establish priorities and effectively apply resolutions.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial/sales issues preferably within a Payroll/HR software and service environment.
- Ability to review and measure progress against specific criteria and take necessary corrective action where appropriate.
- Must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, personal integrity and a positive attitude in all dealings with colleagues/clients.
Education And Experience
- Must be able to demonstrate extensive direct selling experience, preferably within a Payroll/HR software and service environment and consistent over performance
- Team Leader/Sales Management experience (desirable).
