Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Accounts Assistant based in Bicester. The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining records, processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and supporting the finance team in various accounting tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day bookkeeping, including posting invoices, receipts, and payments
  • Reconcile bank statements and supplier accounts
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions in accounting software Xero
  • Liaise with suppliers and customers regarding payment queries and maintaining the clients' payments in our CRM.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed
  • Utilise accounting software Xero for efficient record-keeping.

Requirements

  • AAT Level 2 or above (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong numeracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and XERO (accounting software)
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
  • Understanding of UK accounting principles and VAT regulations
  • Desirable

  • Experience with cloud-based platforms (Hubspot)
  • Familiarity with intercompany transactions.
