The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced
Plot Sales Conveyancer
to join a highly reputable and growing property team within a well-established law firm in the South Manchester area. The successful candidate will handle a busy caseload of plot sales matters, working with national and regional developer clients, and contributing to the continued success of a thriving residential property department.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing your own caseload of
plot sales transactions
, progressing files from instruction through to completion. This position requires a confident conveyancer with strong technical knowledge, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication skills when dealing with developer clients and buyers' representatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing an active caseload of plot sales from initial instruction to completion
  • Preparing and issuing contract packs and overseeing site set-up documentation
  • Reviewing title documents, plans, searches, and related property information
  • Liaising with developer clients, buyers, solicitors, estate agents, and lenders
  • Responding to enquiries and progressing transactions efficiently to meet exchange/completion targets
  • Drafting and approving documentation such as transfer deeds, reports, and statements
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory, lender, and firm requirements
  • Working collaboratively with the wider property team, including support staff
  • Maintaining accurate file records within the case management system
  • Delivering a high standard of client care throughout the transaction process

About You

  • Previous experience handling
    plot sales
    or high-volume
    new build
    or
    residential conveyancing
    matters
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision
  • Strong understanding of the conveyancing process and relevant legislation
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Confident communicator who can build effective relationships with developer clients
  • Proactive approach and ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Experience using conveyancing case management systems is advantageous
