Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Window and Door Surveyor to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, exceptional organisational skills, proficiency in computer systems, and excellent communication abilities. This role is critical to our operations, bridging the gap between client consultation and installation delivery.

You will be responsible for conducting site surveys, managing specifications, coordinating with clients and suppliers, and ensuring seamless project execution from measurement to installation.

Key Responsibilities Survey & Specification Management

· Attend customer sites to accurately measure and survey for windows, doors, conservatories, and associated products

· Agree on detailed specifications with customers, ensuring all requirements are captured

· Obtain customer sign-off for all orders before processing

· Work with various materials including uPVC, aluminium, timber, Ultraframe, Velfac, and Rationel products

· Apply knowledge of building practices, regulations, and safety standards to all surveys

Order & Project Coordination

· Produce accurate purchase orders and submit to relevant suppliers

· Create comprehensive fitting sheets with clear instructions for installation teams

· Create site specific RAMS

· Coordinate with clients for approval and scheduling of installations

· Liaise with the scheduling team to maintain and update the installation schedule to ensure efficient workflow

· Assess & diagnose service calls as required

Client & System Management

· Update and maintain the CRM system with accurate project information

· Handle client enquiries and complaints in a professional, solution-focused manner

· Represent QBD Ltd professionally at all times

· Collaborate effectively with engineers, architects, and construction teams

· Manage own schedule and appointments efficiently

Administration & Organisation

· Maintain a neat and organised work environment

· Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and filed appropriately

· Demonstrate strong attention to detail and precision in all tasks

Requirements Essential

· Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in window, door, conservatory, and glazed roof surveying

· Product Knowledge: Previous experience working with uPVC, aluminium, timber, Velfac, and Rationel products is preferred

· Computer Skills: Minimum 10 years' experience with computer systems and software

· Driving Licence: Valid UK driving licence

· Technical Knowledge: Understanding of building practices, regulations, and safety standards

· Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Organisation: Exceptional organisational and time management abilities

· Independence: Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively

Preferred

· Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software

· Experience with CRM systems

· Knowledge of FENSA and TrustMark certification requirements

Working Hours & Schedule

· Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM

· Flexibility: Flexible schedule required to accommodate client site visits

· Work Location: Office-based in Cheltenham with regular site visits across Gloucestershire and surrounding areas

Compensation & Benefits Salary

· Base Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per year (dependent on experience)
