We're a friendly, family-run business specialising in motorhome hire, sales, and service — and proud members of the AWS (Approved Workshop Scheme). We're looking for a skilled mechanic who's ready for a new challenge and wants to build a career in a growing, specialist field. You'll be joining our experienced, supportive team, carrying out mechanical repairs and servicing on a range of motorhomes. For the right person, we'll also provide full training in habitation systems — giving you the opportunity to expand your skills and take on varied, interesting work every day. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for mechanical work and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out mechanical servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a range of motorhomes.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical faults using diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Diagnose and repair automotive electrical systems and components.
  • Install a variety of accessories such as awnings, solar panels, and entertainment systems.
  • Conduct thorough habitation inspections to ensure safety and comfort standards are met.
  • Maintain accurate service and repair records.
  • Communicate professionally with colleagues and customers to deliver a high standard of service.
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar role.
  • Good understanding of automotive electrical systems.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as City & Guilds
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn habitation specific systems (training provided)
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Full, clean driving licence
  • reliable and able to work independently in a small professional team.

Desirable (not essential)

  • Relevant qualifications, such as City & Guilds
  • Previous experience with motorhomes or leisure vehicles
  • Experience fitting motorhome accessories

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £32,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
