Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure exceptional customer service standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant experience, and a passion for hospitality. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing staff, supervising food preparation, and ensuring smooth kitchen and service operations.

Duties

  • Lead and supervise restaurant staff, including servers, kitchen personnel, and baristas, fostering a positive team environment.
  • Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality standards are met consistently.
  • Manage daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the establishment.
  • Organise staff schedules and delegate tasks effectively to optimise workflow during busy periods.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of ingredients and supplies.
  • Handle customer enquiries and resolve any complaints promptly to uphold excellent service standards.
  • Implement training programmes for new staff members and ongoing development for existing team members.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Assist in marketing initiatives to promote the restaurant's offerings.

Experience

  • Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Extensive restaurant experience with a solid understanding of food preparation, cooking, and food safety protocols.
  • Demonstrable team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively.
  • Knowledge of culinary practices, food production processes, and kitchen operations.
  • Experience in hospitality environments such as hotels or bars is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with serving standards, hospitality best practices, and customer service excellence.
  • Previous barista experience or involvement in food service roles is desirable but not essential. This position requires a passionate leader committed to delivering outstanding dining experiences while maintaining operational efficiency. The successful candidate will be organised, proactive, and dedicated to fostering a welcoming environment for both staff and guests.
