Cutting Shopfloor Supervisor

We're expanding and looking for a driven Cutting Shop Supervisor to join our busy Timber Cutting Shop, operating modern machinery and supporting production.
Hours - 7am-4:30pm (45-hours/week)
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, motivate, and support the cutting shopfloor team to achieve daily and weekly production targets.
- Ensure efficient workflow and optimal use of materials and machinery.
- Monitor production output and quality, addressing issues proactively.
- Enforce health and safety procedures and promote a strong safety culture.
- Support staff training and development to build a multi-skilled, high-performing team.
- Liaise with production planning to maintain workflow and minimise downtime.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in productivity, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Conduct regular equipment checks and coordinate maintenance as required.
About You:
- Proven experience in a supervisory or team leader role within a manufacturing environment (timber frame or wood processing experience highly desirable).
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent understanding of production processes, machinery, and workflow management.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Organised, proactive, and hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Competent in using production data and reporting systems.
