Cedar have partnered with a well known fashion brand who are recruiting for an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to oversee a dynamic AP team within a fast-paced fashion retail environment.

The role:

Reporting into the Group Financial Operations Manager, you'll oversee a team of 5 and take ownership of key AP processes, ensuring invoices are processed, payments are made on time, and controls are upheld.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable team
  • Manage invoice processing, supplier payments, and account reconciliations
  • Support weekly payment runs and proposals, working to tight deadlines
  • Liaise with departments including Property, Commercial Finance, and Management Accounts
  • Uphold fraud prevention processes for supplier onboarding and bank detail changes
  • Ensure timely invoice approvals and organise settlement of intercompany balances
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve queries via phone and email

Person Specification

  • Proven experience leading or supervising an AP team
  • Strong background in high-volume invoice processing
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Confident communicator, able to liaise across departments
  • Solid Excel skills (VLOOKUPs essential)
  • Experience with SUN (desirable, not essential)
