A high performing HSQE function is absolutely critical to the ongoing success of our business, without which we cannot operate. This role involves being a guardian, keeping our business and people safe, helping us to proactively prevent incidents. To advise, educate and ensure that all projects are compliant with Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements, standards, and legislation, and to promote safe working practices. As the Head of HSQE (Health, Safety, Quality, and Environment), you will play a pivotal role in driving our commitment to safety, well-being, net-zero targets, and sustainability, all while achieving our five critical success factors: fostering a high-performance culture, achieving year-on-year growth, diversifying into new and emerging markets, and retaining and strengthening our unique market offering. Your primary purpose is to lead and enhance our HSQE strategies, embedding a culture of excellence, safety, and sustainability throughout the organisation. You will champion initiatives that ensure the health and well-being of our workforce, promote superior quality, and advance our environmental objectives, including our commitment to net-zero carbon emissions. By fostering a high-performance culture rooted in safety and sustainability, you will empower our team to perform at their best, ensuring that every project we undertake is delivered with the utmost care for people and the planet. In this role, you will also be instrumental in driving our diversification efforts by implementing robust HSQE frameworks that support entry into new and growth markets while upholding our environmental commitments. Your expertise in sustainability will guide us in navigating the complexities of new sectors, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of industry advancements. Additionally, you will work to strengthen and differentiate our unique offerings by embedding safety, well-being, and sustainability into every aspect of our operations. Through your leadership and dedication, Enable Infrastructure Ltd will continue to set industry standards, driving success and creating lasting positive impacts on the communities we serve and the environment we strive to protect. Experience: This role requires >8 years relevant industry experience. Sectoral experience is also highly desirable. Lead Auditor Knowledge of ISO, RISQS and other professional bodies Qualifications: University business qualification is desirable. People management qualification also highly desirable. Chartered IOSH – CMIOSH NEBOSH qualified Technical skills: Proficiency with MS Office is an essential requirement for this role. COMET Assured trained - desirableAdditional skills This role requires extensive collaboration with several teams across the group (including our site-based project teams) and is therefore suited to an excellent communicator and someone who has an ability to build relationships and rapport with others. Driving is a requirement of this role so that construction sites can be visited in unsocial hours if necessary.
