Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care across a variety of clinical settings, demonstrating advanced clinical skills and a compassionate approach. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for conducting physical examinations, administering treatments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive healthcare services.

Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and assessments of patients to determine health status and needs
- Administer injections, medications, and treatments in accordance with clinical protocols and aseptic techniques
- Perform diagnostic procedures including triage, blood tests, and other diagnostic tests as required
- Manage patient care plans, ensuring appropriate follow-up and continuity of care
- Provide health education and counselling to patients regarding treatment options, lifestyle modifications, and preventive care
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with legal and organisational standards
- Utilise medical terminology effectively when documenting patient interactions and communicating with colleagues
- Demonstrate proficiency in physiology, anatomy, and critical care principles to support complex cases
- Operate medical equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to infection control standards
- Support hospital or clinic teams during emergencies or critical care situations as needed
- Drive between different clinical sites or community settings as required for patient visits or outreach programmes
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse Practitioner qualification recognised within the UK healthcare system
- Valid registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) or relevant professional body
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is essential
- Proven experience in patient care within hospital or critical care environments is highly desirable
- Demonstrated knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
- Experience administering injections, medication management, and performing physical examinations
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control procedures
- Ability to perform triage effectively in fast-paced environments
- Valid driving licence for travelling between sites or community outreach activities
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or walking during shifts
This role requires a proactive individual with excellent organisational skills who can adapt quickly to changing clinical demands. Candidates should be committed to delivering compassionate patient-centred care while adhering to the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: Up to £37.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 60 per week
