Job Title: Engineering Draughts-person, Design Engineer

Job description:

· You will be responsible for fast moving projects from conception to completion and will see a variety of industrial practices from sheet metal fabrication, automated welding and machining to galvanizing and powder coating.

· Unique opportunity to work in a small, forward thinking company.

· Design new products including trailers and sheet metal products using Solid Works.

· Prototyping products and putting then into production on a short lead time.

· Preparing CAM programs and NC code for the Amada Punch machine.

· Working closely with the Managing Director.

· Involvement in design meetings with clients.

· You will be working in an office/factory environment from 8:00 to 4:30 with regular overtime if desired.

Essential requirements:

· Good English.

· Basic practical engineering skills.

· Previous use of a CAD program.

· General understanding of machine tools and CNC processes.

· Team player yet self motivated.

· Problem solver and able to work under own initiative.

Desirable attributes:

· General I.T. skills, including Microsoft Excel.

· Competent Mathematician.

· Practical basic engineering appreciation.

· Solid Works Experience

Pay: Good starting salary to increase with experience.

· Design and manufacture trailers for industrial and commercial use.

· Large range of marine application trailers.

· The chosen candidate will be working for a growing and successful company.

· The Company has invested heavily in the latest state of the art manufacturing software and machine tools such as robotic welding rigs and punching machines.

· The successful candidate will be 1 of 2 people with engineering training, and subsequently they will have a lot of responsibility and value within the company.

Pay: £26,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
