Role Overview
The firm are seeking a
Discretionary Trader
to join their global trading team. The role is
market-facing
, with direct responsibility for managing risk and contributing to the firm's PnL. Traders in this team work collaboratively - sharing market insights, developing trade ideas, and refining strategies across global markets.

What You'll Do

  • Generate, evaluate, and execute discretionary trading strategies across one or more major asset classes (Equities, Commodities, Rates, FX, Credit).
  • Actively monitor markets, identify emerging themes, and engage in idea-sharing with colleagues across the trading and research teams.
  • Manage risk dynamically within agreed limits and ensure strong alignment with the firm's risk framework.
  • Work closely with quants and technologists to refine execution, trading signals, and market understanding.

What They're Looking For

  • A proven track record of PnL generation in a discretionary trading capacity (sell-side or buy-side).
  • Technical degree in a field such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, computer science, finance, etc.
  • Programming skills are essential, preferably Python.
  • Strong market intuition and the ability to evaluate and act on real-time market information.
  • Deep product knowledge in at least one major asset class.
  • Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills - this is not a siloed role.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-oriented environment.
