We are seeking an experienced Art Teacher to join our high-achieving grammar school in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Art Teacher to inspire students at one of the city's top academic institutions. As an experienced Art Teacher, you'll be joining a creative and supportive environment that values artistic expression as an essential part of a well-rounded education.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for an experienced Art Teacher who:

  • Holds QTS and a relevant degree in Art, Fine Art, or Art & Design.

  • Has a proven track record of delivering outstanding lessons and achieving excellent results.

  • Is skilled at teaching Art and Design across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.

  • Brings creativity, passion, and technical expertise to inspire students at all levels.

  • Can collaborate with other Art Teachers to develop a dynamic and engaging curriculum.

  • Is proactive in contributing to the wider school community, including leading extracurricular activities such as art exhibitions and trips.

About the Role

As an experienced Art Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high-quality Art and Design lessons to students in Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, with opportunities for A-Level teaching.

  • Designing and implementing a diverse curriculum that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and artistic exploration.

  • Mentoring and supporting less experienced Art Teachers, sharing best practices, and contributing to the department's development.

  • Assessing student work, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring excellent outcomes for all students.

  • Taking an active role in organising extracurricular activities, such as art clubs, exhibitions, and community art projects.

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to continue shaping an innovative and inspiring Art Department.
