About The Feathers
The Feathers is a beautifully restored luxury boutique hotel in the heart of Woodstock, just a short walk from Blenheim Palace. Following a multi-million-pound refurbishment, the hotel combines historic charm with modern comfort, featuring 17 individually designed bedrooms, six elegant suites, and stunning new dining spaces including The Nest restaurant and Aviary, our indoor-outdoor terrace serving a relaxed small plates and pizza menu.
We're proud to be an independent hotel with a small, friendly team that values quality, teamwork, and genuine hospitality.
The Role
We're looking for a Kitchen Assistant / KP / Potwash to join our hardworking kitchen team. This is a hands-on role that's essential to the smooth running of our kitchen. You'll help maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, support the chefs, and play your part in delivering an excellent dining experience for our guests.
You'll be working 35 hours per week over 5 days, including evenings and weekends, as part of a supportive and professional kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment to a high standard.
- Keep kitchen areas clean, tidy, and safe at all times.
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation as required.
- Follow all food hygiene and health & safety procedures.
- Take pride in your role as a key member of the kitchen team.
What We're Looking For
- A positive, reliable, can-do attitude.
- The ability to work well under pressure in a busy kitchen.
- Willingness to learn and be part of a team.
- Previous kitchen experience is helpful but not essential, full training will be provided.
