We are seeking to appoint to our team of hardworking and enthusiastic Learning Mentors who act as role models to our students.
Willingdon Community School has a highly committed and supportive staff body who would welcome you into the team.
Duties will include:
- Being a positive role model.
- Supporting students in a range of subjects.
- Helping students who require extra support.
- Participation in school trips and supervising group activities.
The successful candidates will help to develop students' confidence, supporting with literacy and numeracy and to guide them how to access education to achieve their highest potential. The post may also involve a combination of targeted work in our inclusion room with students who are hard to reach and present with challenging behaviours and in class support across the curriculum with students within Special Educational Needs (SEN).
They will need to have excellent communications skills, tolerance and sensitivity.
