Position Description:

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Intern to join the Data Center Power and Control Division Starline Team in Reading, UK. The Supply Chain Intern will support the Supply Chain team performing tasks related to ordering and expediting materials, cleaning and validating ERP master data, and analysing freight costs. You will work closely with supply chain, planning, logistics, quality, and manufacturing engineering and contribute to internal projects aimed at improving supplier performance and operational efficiency.

What Will You Do?

  • Clean and Validate ERP master data (SyteLine), including components and assemblies, PO lines and supplier information.
  • Cross-reference supplier and product documentations to ensure data accuracy.
  • Identify gaps and inconsistencies that may pose compliance or sourcing risks.
  • Support risk mapping based on geographic sourcing and item criticality.
  • Collect and compare freight rates from U.S.-based suppliers.
  • Analyse shipment frequency, volume, and cost to identify inefficiencies.
  • Map supplier locations to explore shipment consolidation opportunities.
  • Build dashboards to visualize freight spend and performance metrics.
  • Manage supplier relationships and support performance tracking for delivery, cost, and quality.
  • Contribute to the implementation of globally defined processes and systems.
  • Document findings and present recommendations for cost savings and process improvements.

Qualifications:

Required Skills

Education:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in supply chain, Logistics, or Operations Management.

Experience:

  • Previous internship or project experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred. Exposure to contentious improvement methodologies beneficial.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI) and ERP system is a plus.
