Overview
Carnarvon Medical Centre is a friendly and welcoming practice seeking a dedicated and compassionate practice nurse, with previous experience, to join our healthcare team. This position is offered on a part-time basis for up to 15 hours per week working on a Monday and Tuesday.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
- Conduct health assessments and record patient histories accurately.
- Administer vaccinations, medications, and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Assist in managing chronic conditions and provide education on health maintenance.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality at all times.
- Participate in health promotion activities and community outreach programmes.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in nursing practices and healthcare regulations.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse qualification with valid nursing registration.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting, preferably in primary care or community health.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with patients.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accurate documentation of patient information.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A commitment to providing high-quality patient care with empathy and professionalism.
