Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and customer service, looking to contribute to a dynamic logistics operation. A valid driver's licence and previous delivery experience are essential for this position.

Duties

  • Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
  • Deliver goods to clients and customers across designated routes in a timely manner
  • Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting, with proper handling techniques
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules and any unforeseen delays
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including receipts and logs
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met and report any issues promptly
  • Assist in warehouse activities as needed, including stock organisation and inventory checks
  • Follow health and safety protocols at all times during deliveries and warehouse operations

Experience

  • Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is highly desirable
  • Valid driver's licence suitable for the vehicle type (e.g., car, van, or lorry)
  • Experience working in warehouse environments is advantageous
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and customers
  • Familiarity with local routes and navigation systems is preferred
  • Proven reliability with a good driving record is essential
