Inclusion Youth Worker (Part Time)

Location: Ashton Gate Stadium/Community Settings – Bristol

Hours: Part time – 20 hours per week, Mon-Fri evenings with flexible start and finish times & occasional weekend work.

Criminal Record Check: Enhanced with Child Barred List

Salary: £13,500 (£26,000 - £28,000 FTE)

Contract Type: Fixed Term until March 2027

Bristol Bears Foundation is the official charity of Bristol Bears. We believe rugby is more than just a game. It's our way for lasting change. We use rugby as tool to help tackle the impacts of inequality by inspiring healthier, stronger, and more connected communities across Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire.

Your next role:

As an Inclusion Youth Worker, you'll plan and deliver high-quality youth engagement sessions, using rugby & sport as a tool to provide positive opportunities for young people in community settings. You'll build positive, trusting relationships with young people, helping them develop confidence, skills, and pathways into positive provision or employment.

Working closely with the Inclusion Projects Manager, you'll:

  • Deliver engaging youth sessions across our Inclusion programmes, particularly our Rugbyz project
  • Develop tailored schemes of work to meet the needs of young people
  • Maintain strong partnerships with schools, youth organisations, and community agencies
  • Support data collection and reporting to demonstrate impact and sustainability
  • Ensure safeguarding and health & safety standards are met at all times

This is a hands-on role for someone passionate about youth work, inclusion, and using sport as a tool for change.

What you'll bring to our team

We value individuality and welcome diverse perspectives. Here's what we're looking for:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in youth work
  • Experience working with targeted groups or individuals in areas of deprivation
  • A qualification linked to Youth Work (or willingness to work towards)
  • Level 2 Coaching Multi-Skill Development in Sport (or working towards)
  • England Rugby Coaching Award (or willingness to work towards)
  • Understanding of challenges faced by young people in deprived areas
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
  • Access to own vehicle and a full UK driving licence
