Plumber and Gasfitter

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of plumbing systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair. This role requires proficiency in various tools and techniques, as well as the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Plumber will be responsible for ensuring that all plumbing work meets safety standards and complies with regulations.

Duties

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial properties.
• Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete tasks efficiently.
• Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues and recommend solutions.
• Perform assembly of plumbing fixtures and fittings as required.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction projects, including carpentry tasks when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations while performing heavy lifting and other physically demanding tasks.
• Drive commercial vehicles to transport tools and materials to job sites.

Requirements

• Proven experience in plumbing with a strong mechanical knowledge.
• Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to plumbing installations.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
• A valid commercial driving licence is preferred but not essential.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £20.00-£25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 37.5 per week
