Job Title: Senior Practitioner – Single Point of Contact Team
Location: Gateshead 
Rate: £202.11 per day

An exciting job role has recently become available at the Gateshead Metropolitan Borough Council. They are looking for a new member for their Single Point of Contact team.

Your Responsibilities:

You will lead, manage, and support a team of social workers and support staff. You will ensure effective supervision, appraisal, and professional development of team members. Additionally, you will oversee the assessment, planning, and delivery of social care services, lead on safeguarding adults by ensuring robust procedures are in place, ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, and develop and maintain effective partnerships with other agencies and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

You must have a degree in Social Work or equivalent and be registered with Social Work England. A management qualification is desirable.

Experience:

You should have significant experience in adult social care, proven experience in managing and leading a team, and experience in safeguarding adults and working with multi-agency partners.
