K Packaging Ltd have a position available for an experienced Warehouse Order Picker & Forklift Driver to join our Head Office based in Rotherham. We are continuing to grow significantly and always keen to attract talented new individuals to join our business.

Our warehouse team work 44 hours a week Monday to Friday only (no weekends). You will be working as an integral part of our team, to help with general depot operations during the day.

Key duties and responsibilities of the role include:

  • Take orders from our warehouse managers daily.
  • Use of mechanical equipment such as forklift
  • Load and unload goods from delivery vans efficiently & effectively.
  • Ensure that correct quantity has been received by comparing received goods with information on the supplier delivery note.
  • Identify any damaged or missing goods and record on supplier delivery note and inform appropriate member of staff.
  • Ensure that delivery notes are signed only upon satisfaction of completed order.
  • Move received goods to appropriate storage areas.
  • Make sure that all goods are labelled properly using appropriate labels
  • Allocate storage space for items based on their types and sizes
  • Pick out ordered goods and ensure that they are in good condition
  • Isolate and report any broken or damaged goods at the time of order picking
  • Ensure that information of picked goods is accurate to delivery notes.
  • Move picked goods from storage areas to delivery pallets using forklifts
  • Establish and maintain meaningful relationships with delivery drivers to ensure smooth procurement.
  • Stock management including stock take
  • Assist the organisation of delivery runs in route order
  • Respond efficiently and effectively to customer collections
  • General warehouse maintenance

Necessaries:

  • Candidate must hold a counter balance forklift license
  • Forklift Operation – Minimum 2 Years
  • Manual Handling of goods – Minimum 2 Years
  • Order Picking - Minimum of 2 years

  • Committed

Additional information: - There will be ad-hoc duties so applicant must have a flexible attitude towards tasks and a good work ethic.

Basic hours of work are Mon-Thu 7am to 4:30pm & Friday 7am-3:30pm. However, some working flexibility is required at times to ensure the efficient running of the depot.
