Activity Coordinator (Part-Time)

Location: Fourways Residential Care Home – Sandhurst, Berkshire

Pay rate: £13.00 per hour

Hours: Part-time (approx. 9–12 hours per week, divided across 3 working days)

Working time: Usually 10:00 am onwards (flexible – can be discussed)

About Us

Fourways Residential Care Home is a small, friendly 19-bed home providing high-quality care and support for older adults, including those living with dementia. Our dedicated team works together to ensure residents feel safe, valued, and supported in a warm, family-like environment.

We are now looking for a creative and caring Activity Coordinator to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing joy, connection, and purpose to the lives of older people.

About the Role

As our Activity Coordinator, you'll be responsible for organising and leading engaging activities that promote wellbeing, confidence, and companionship among residents. You'll plan activities that suit individual preferences and abilities — from arts and crafts and music to games, gentle exercise, and reminiscence sessions.

You'll work closely with the care team and families to make sure every activity is meaningful and person-centred, especially for residents living with dementia.

Main Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver a variety of activities that promote emotional, physical, and cognitive wellbeing.
  • Encourage residents to take part in both group and one-to-one sessions.
  • Keep an activity calendar and record participation.
  • Work with the care team and relatives to tailor activities to individual interests and abilities.
  • Organise small events and celebrations within the home.
  • Support residents with dementia in a kind, patient, and respectful manner.
  • Ensure all activities are safe and risk-assessed.

  • Previous experience in a care home or dementia setting is helpful but not essential.

What We Offer
